Local Wisdom Panjek Pinang Georg Simmel's Theory Perspective
Abstract
This research aims to explore the panjek pinang tradition observed during the Eid al-Fitr holiday, delving into its history, philosophy, and the underlying local wisdom values. Through qualitative methods, the study seeks to identify and understand the Panjek Pinang tradition. The act of climbing the pinang tree is often accompanied by the promise of various prizes, fostering a sense of camaraderie and unity among participants, while also serving as a reflection of cultural values. Georg Simmel's theory is employed as an analytical framework in this study. Analytical techniques utilized include data collection, reduction, presentation, and drawing conclusions.
