Abstract

This paper explores the phenomenon of online game addiction among rural teenagers in Nagari Supayang, West Sumatra, examining its influencing factors and effects. The findings reveal that online gaming addiction detrimentally affects academic performance and social relationships. Additionally, factors such as gender and the type of game played are identified as significant contributors to this addiction. The study seeks to propose effective strategies for addressing and mitigating this issue.
