Keywords:

This reflects the existing social hierarchy in public settings. Secondly, the practice of giving money can also be seen as a method to reinforce social norms and control behavior in public. Children or family members receiving the money are expected to respond politely and adhere to the existing social rules. Lastly, the tradition of giving money during Eid al-Fitr also reflects the construction of knowledge and identity within certain segments of the public
