Bukittinggi International Conference on Science and Technology (BICoST 2026) is an international academic forum organized by the Faculty of Science and Technology, Universitas Islam Negeri Sjech M. Djamil Djambek Bukittinggi, West Sumatra, Indonesia. Scheduled for 22 September 2026 in Bukittinggi, Indonesia, the conference provides a collaborative platform for researchers, academics, lecturers, students, practitioners, and professionals to exchange scientific knowledge, present research findings, and explore emerging developments across science, technology, mathematics, and related interdisciplinary fields.
Under the theme “Advancing Data, Mathematics, and Intelligent Technology through Islamic Values and Scientific Excellence,” BICoST 2026 seeks to promote scientific advancement that is not only innovative and methodologically rigorous but also ethically grounded and socially meaningful. The conference highlights the importance of integrating advances in data science, mathematics, artificial intelligence, intelligent technologies, and scientific research with values that support responsible innovation, human well-being, and sustainable development.
BICoST 2026 welcomes original research, applied studies, innovative technological solutions, and interdisciplinary contributions covering a broad spectrum of topics, including Informatics and Computer Science, Mathematics and Applied Mathematics, Statistics and Data Science, Science, STEM and Sustainable Innovation, as well as Technology, Innovation, and Society. Key areas of interest include artificial intelligence, machine learning, data science, software engineering, information systems, cybersecurity, Internet of Things, computational and applied mathematics, statistical modelling, data visualization, predictive analytics, renewable energy, green technology, biotechnology, materials science, environmental science, smart cities, digital transformation, and technology for community empowerment.
Designed as a hybrid international conference, BICoST 2026 enables participants to engage either on-site or online, expanding opportunities for scholarly interaction across geographical boundaries. Through keynote presentations, invited talks, research presentations, and academic discussions, the conference aims to foster meaningful dialogue among scholars from diverse institutional and disciplinary backgrounds.
