Abstract

It is undeniable that knowledge of human being has been increasing rapidly over time. There are some reasons for this, including the existence of various modern scientific discoveries in various fields. This Intellectual property, as the result of technological progress, impacts the people's understanding of how to deal with their lives. Then, their understanding of al-Quran as the main source of Islam, also changes in the line with technological developments. Besides, the translation of scientific verses in the Qur'an into Indonesian has changed. A person's insight into the findings of modern technology will affect his understanding of the Qur'an. we get from the interpretation of scientific verses in the Quran. For instance the word "Zarrah" has different meanings which relate to the development of one's knowledge. Some interpret it as dust, ants, grains, or small particles, even the atoms in the science. This article is going to describe the evolution of the translation of science-themed verses in the Qur'an into Indonesian, and offers the “i'jaziah” translation pattern as a solution to this phenomenon. Hopefully, this research will make a positive contribution to improve the scientific repertoire on Qur'anic translations in Indonesia
