AI's arrival in education has caused a revolution in English teaching providing tools that boost language learning and student interest. This library study looks at how AI plays two roles in modern English teaching checking its good points and possible problems. The study looks into AI-powered apps like language learning platforms, auto-grading tools, and chat bots such as ChatGPT. Using scholarly papers, reports, and real-life examples, the study shows AI can tailor learning, give quick feedback, and make language resources easy to get. But it also talks about issues, like relying too much on tech ethical worries, and the chance of less critical thinking and creativity. The results show that while AI helps a lot in language education, teachers must balance its use with human-focused methods to avoid over-reliance and keep well-rounded language learning. This study adds to the field by bringing together current thoughts on AI in English teaching, giving teachers and decision-makers useful tips to use AI well while dealing with its limits.
