This research evaluates the dynamics of user adoption and merchant acceptance within Indonesia's digital payment landscape, comparing QRIS and e-wallets. Through a comprehensive literature review, we examine the driving factors behind e-wallet adoption, dominated by financial incentives and ecosystem integration, as well as QRIS adoption, propelled by Bank Indonesia's interoperability standards. The analysis also covers challenges faced by merchants due to e-wallet fragmentation and how QRIS addresses this with its "one QR for all" concept, despite persistent obstacles like varying digital literacy and uneven infrastructure. The findings indicate that QRIS and e-wallets are complementary: e-wallets attract users with features and incentives, while QRIS facilitates merchants with operational efficiency. This synergy significantly enhances MSME financial inclusion through improved transaction recording for better financing access, simultaneously boosting business efficiency and competitiveness. It's concluded that both systems are crucial pillars for the advancement of a more inclusive and efficient digital economy in Indonesia.
